BEIRETTE VS
PRODUCT ID: SF110909
OVERVIEW
This camera is rare I have problems finding sufficient information online (apologies). All I can say that it’s has a very nice communist look, and great for experimental photography – pictures can be quite crappy or quite brilliant! Lomo lovers will definitely love this.
The VS was made in the early 70’s and has a metal body. The older shutter design allows multiple exposures (the shutter can be triggered repeatedly without advancing film), a “feature” not available in the later plastic models. The VS is also far less common.

Argus “Brick” Match-matic
PRODUCT ID: SF.110907
OVERVIEW
The MatchMatic is basically a C3 with different colored leatherette covering and different, propriety markings on the exposure settings.
The Argus C2 and C3 are often referred to as the “Brick”, a sobriquet earned largely due to it’s appearance and weight. Largely conventional in operation it can catch out modern camera users as the shutter needs to be cocked prior to release with what looks like a delayed release winder. The C3 shares the same sprocket system as the earlier Argus A and like the A series enjoyed a long production run, remaining largely unchanged from 1939 to 1966. This heritage extends to the lack of double exposure prevention. These are fairly late examples with accessory shoe and coated lens.

YASHICA ELECTRO 35 GX *Black
PRODUCT ID: SF. 110906
OVERVIEW
The Yashica Electro 35 GX is a small coupled-rangefinder, leaf-shuttered 35mm camera with aperture-priority automatic exposure. Released 2 years after the very successful Electro GSN, the GX was the last in the GSN series, as the premium model. Significantly smaller than the GSN and armed with the extremely sharp 40mm F/1.7 lens that shines in low-light, it’s hard to find a better weapon for the street shooter.

OLYMPUS XA + A11 FLASH
PRODUCT ID: SF.100813
OVERVIEW
This is the finest model in the XA range - the original and best. It has a high-grade 6 element wide aperture lens (F-Zuiko 35mm F2.8), semi automatic aperture preferred shutter system (featuring aperture priority automation), and 85cm to infinity range finder. And of course the revolutionary capsule design.
The camera is capable of taking extremely high quality photographs – certainly rivaling those from the majority of modern SLRs and many Leica and Contax models. A 35mm lens is probably the most useful focal length for general use – if you need long focus lenses, you are going to have to put up with an SLR with all the weight and inconvenience they bring. The benefits of a camera that can sit in your pocket all day normally far outweigh the lack of long focus lenses and other gadgets.
The rangefinder is what lifts this model above the crowd. If you have used Lecias or other rangefinder cameras you will know how quickly and easy they are to focus. And with such a quiet shutter the camera is ideal for the sort of unobtrusive photography that captures people being people.

Konica Auto S3 Rnagefinder
PRODUCT ID: SF.110903
OVERVIEW
The Konica Auto S3 was a versatile 35mm, shutter-priority rangefinder camera. Though the camera is similar in some respects to the Vivitar 35ES,Revue 400SE, Prinz 35ER and Minolta Hi-Matic 7sII, Konica has installed a superior RF/VF system and an important ambient light balancing GN Flash system, at the cost of manual over-ride.
The S3 has a fast(f/1.8) 38mm, six-element lens that has a reputation for producing extremely sharp and detailed images. This is one of the nicest compact 35RF cameras around.

MINOLTA HI-MATIC 7Sii
PRODUCT ID: SF.110702
OVERVIEW
The Minolta Hi-matic 7SII is a great compact rangefinder that was introduced in 1977, and was the last high specification fixed lens rangefinder made by Minolta. It features a 40mm f/1.7 lens comprising 6 elements in 4 groups that is very sharp, and has excellent contrast often compared to the Leitz 40mm/f2 Summicron-C. The 40mm focal length is very convenient for street photography, and the very compact size of the camera means that it can be carried anywhere with ease, and used with discretion.
The operating controls of the 7SII are very easy to use and the camera is actually very well suited to fast, fluid photographic situations. The fact that the camera has a ‘B’ or ‘bulb’ setting means that long exposures may be obtained through use of a threaded shutter release. Combined with the fast aperture, full manual exposure capacity, and flash sync at all speeds it is a camera that an experienced photographer can really use and enjoy, without feeling that their creative options are restricted.
It is an exceptionally highly finished camera that exudes quality and I personally see it as top-class in the compact fixed lens RF category.
