Ricoh Diacord G TLR Camera SOLD

RICOH DIACORD G
Product ID: MF110704

OVERVIEW

The Ricohflex “Diamond” Series, renamed “Diacord” outside Japan, was released in the mid 1950′s in an attempt to compete in the Yashica (mat) and Rollei (cord) market. I doubt they were a strong competitor thus less often seen, but the Diacord ain’t no inferior performer.

“I had a Diacord G for quite a while. I have quite a few 11×11 inch matted and framed black and white prints shot with Ricoh Diacord G, Rollei 2.8 E and a Yashica 124. For what its worth the person who makes my prints (which are not cheap) once told me that the Diacord was in her opinion very sharp and contrasty. I think that with good skills applied from start to finish your pictures could be so good that whether you used a Ricoh or a Rollei could be of very minor concern.

The Ricoh also has a unique shutter quite like the Rollei 2.8 C. This shutter has more blades, which if I understand correctly is one reason many people seek the 2.8 C.”

Rolleicord Va TLR Camera SOLD

ROLLEICORD Va – Model K3E (Type 2)
PRODUCT ID: MF.110703

OVERVIEW
Rolleiflex has always been the benchmark of quality in the TLR category. Famed for rugged construction and top-notch optics from Schneider or Carl Zeiss, they are truly excellent options to consider for the “deep-pocketed”.
If you don’t print bank notes yet insist on quality, Rolleicord is the answer.
This Rolleicord Va possesses the legendary Rollei quality and many of the features found in later Rolleiflex’s, but missing the exorbitant price tag. This camera has the 75mm Xenar f3.5 lens (coated), MX flash sync, EVS, self timer, etc. The only downside (if you can call it a downside) is that you must manually cock the shutter.
[Rolleiflex’s have an advance crank that advances the film and cocks the shutter simultaneously = no multiple exposures!?]
Performance of the Rolleicord Va is outstanding. Lens provides excellent negatives that are sharp and contrasty.
An optional accessory, known as a Rolleikin kit, was available for the Rolleicord to enable it to accept 35mm film.

Yashica Mat 124G TLR Camera

YASHICA MAT 124G
PRODUCT ID: MF.110702

OVERVIEW
Since the day our little madecineshop opened our doors, we’ve been promoting the Yashica Mat range of TLRs. The reason is simple – we have yet to find a better performer for the same money! The 124G is the last model of the Yashica Mat range, much similar to it’s famed predecessor. This stealthy black monster’s “G” stands for its improved gold-contacts that are less likely to corrode.

Made by Yashica from 1970 to 1986, this was the last model of the “Mats” and it remains as the top choice among photographers moving into medium format.

The 124G has a four-element, 80mm F3.5 Yashinon taking lens. Focusing is via a ground glass screen, with a 3x diopter loupe for critical focusing, as well as a sports finder. The Copal shutter features speeds 1 to 1/500 sec., plus B.

For those unfamiliar with medium format, the large film size decreases the depth of field of the image for a wonderful “bokeh”, and a finer; richer picture. Look here!

YASHICA MAT 124 TLR
PRODUCT ID: MF.110701

OVERVIEW

Since the day our little madecineshop opened our doors, we’ve been promoting the Yashica Mat range of TLRs. The reason is simple – we have yet to find a better performer for the same money! The 124 is the second last model of the Yashica Mat range and frequently regarded as the best thus far!

Made by Yashica from 1968 to 1971, this was the predecessor of the 124G. Many people prefer this model over the 124G for its solid built.
Karen Nakamura agrees to that too!

The 124 has a four-element, 80mm F3.5 Yashinon taking lens.

Look here!

Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash Outfit

KODAK BROWNIE HAWKEYE FLASH
PRODUCT ID: MF.100823

OVERVIEW
This camera has got Americana written all over it. Nearly every family in the U.S. had one for those snapshots to document trips over the new national freeway system. Not much to operating this one…look thru the waist-level finder, and push the shutter release…rewind till the next number comes up in the red window in the back. It’s a bakelite box for sure, but Kodak did its best to dress it up, adding waves across the side to give it a streamlined look, and something to grip. It’s a good looking camera for its time and it makes good pictures too.

Earlier Hawkeyes accept the slightly larger 120 spools readily. If yours don’t, you can easily trim 120 spools like this.
